Launch Day!
Good Morning Readers! Today is the day you can finally buy my first ever published book, Fallen Ribbon! This is the first of a six book series now known as The Dark Nursery Diaries. I want to thank all of the people who’ve supported me and helped me see this through, from my parents who’ve always believed in my endeavors to my friends, old and new, you all have cheered me on and believed that I could do this, and I finally did do it. I talked about it for so long and it’s surreal to think that the day I release my first novel is finally here! I think I would be actively more ecstatic if it weren’t for the fact that this week I also ended up getting sick.
It's definitely been a rollercoaster of a week, that’s for sure! Today I was supposed to be spending my day in a courthouse doing Jury Duty but it got cancelled last night which is a relief. I really didn’t anticipate being sick at the same time as releasing a novel and doing Jury Duty, so the thought of not having to do the Jury Duty part was relieving based on how I feel.
I finished writing out all of the personalized note cards to the Launch Team last night along with personalizing the bookmarks as well. I also received an update that the Hardcovers will be delivered by Tuesday so I will be able to get those all shipped off to their respective homes in the next week or so.
In the meantime, I dropped the price on the Kindle Ebook version of Fallen Ribbon, so you can get your digital copy for .99 cents! I should take affect in the next couple of days. Other than that, you can look forward to an Ask Me Anything video posted later in the month and I will eventually post updates on Fallen Ribbon’s success once I see some real progress in the real world.
My next step is to get Fallen Ribbon into some independent book stores as well as some libraries. I plan to hit up some of my more local libraries first and see what they can do for me and then look into the locally owned stores later on. One day I would also like to host a book event featuring a reading and signings where I can sell copies in person, but I will have to play that one by ear. For now, I’m just going to focus on spreading the word on my book to as many people as possible who would be interested in reading it.
That’s all for now as I have a lot going on and am struggling to concentrate on typing since I’m sick. So I’m going to take a couple days off from being active on the social medias and just enjoy the thought of my book being out there. Don’t forget to order your copy of Fallen Ribbon, available now worldwide on Amazon!
