Book Swag and Gift Bundles!
Good Morning Readers! We are finally down to the last week of the promotional campaign for Fallen Ribbon! My debut novel comes out on Thursday August 15th, 2024, after fifteen long years of hard work! As a part of a thank you to my team of First Readers I have begun to put together their gifts. Hardcover copies have been ordered but won’t be delivered until sometime between August 14-20th. I am handwriting out thank you notes to each first reader in my best handwriting, which as a leftie, is really friggin hard. Bookmarks are getting ribbon tied through them and will be placed into each book which will also be personalized.
When I finalized the manuscripts, I also finalized the “Acknowledgements” page thanking everyone either directly involved with the book or influenced my desire to write it in the first place. My hope is that the people on the acknowledgements see it and discover how much their part in Fallen Ribbon’s completion means to me. I need to send out a reminder to the First Readers so I may get mailing addresses from them so that I may mail the gift bundles out as soon as possible.
Alongside the books and personalized swag, I plan on sending each person on my launch team a small stipend and hosting an Ask Me Anything Discord video where the readers will have an opportunity to ask me literally anything about the book that they have been burning to ask. Once I have formatted that video, I will upload it to my website for other viewers as well. I might create a youtube channel for it and potential later projects involving videos. I haven’t put much thought into yet, so that’s yet to be determined. I do know I want to have more Fallen Ribbon goodies made if there becomes a demand for it, that one I plan to play by ear.
I will probably start with things that can be printed like my rose icon as a sticker or decal. Maybe I will have posters of the cover printed. It’s entirely dependent on what kind of a following I can accumulate and what the demand becomes. As long as I have the funds to do it, I’m really game for anything.
